Today I'm sharing a delicious recipe for Lemon Rosewater Cookies. I really stumbled across this recipe by accident. I was experimenting with some sugar cookies in the kitchen. I added a splash of rosewater and a dash of lemon juice and voila! This recipe was born. Let's get to it shall we?

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 10 cookies
Ingredients:
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 teaspoons of rose water
pinch of salt
2/3 cup of powdered sugar
Method:
Sift flour and baking powder in a large bowl
In a stand mixer bowl, cream together butter and sugar
Beat in eggs one at a time until mixture is creamy
Whisk in salt, rosewater, lemon juice and salt
Add in flour and sugar mixture slowly until well combined
Refrigerate mixture for 1 hour until dough is hard
Preheat oven to 350
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
Roll dough into bowls and cover well with powdered sugar
Place each dough ball on parchment paper
Bake for 10 minutes
Let cool for a few minutes
